In case I needed more motivation, here it is...

I took Mickie to the book/movie/music store to spend her gift card this afternoon (she got a great deal on 2 'previously viewed' DVDs and a Barbie book, because she's a guuuuurl), and on the way back I saw a charter bus headed into town from a Kansas "border" town.

The side of the bus proudly proclaimed the occupants to be the "Liberal Redskins".

Not two words that I thought I'd ever see together...

Got myself a Glamour magazine (because I'm a guuuuuuurl as well), and I found this website.

The two things keeping me from burning up the keyboard in a flurry to sign up? One, no 'reliable transportation' immediately available. And I'm pretty positive that I'd have to drive to The City, at least to get to the airport. And I'm not entirely sure if I'd have to pay for the plane tickets (probably not, but you never can tell...). I'd have to make some phone calls and do some begging.

Two, I'm currently uninsured. I've toyed with the idea of going on the county's bill, but with Andy contributing to the household, I'm pretty sure we don't make enough. And they might find out that his paychecks go right to the checking account and do whatever they do to people that defraud the welfare system. However, after we're married, Andy plans to put me and Mickie on his insurance. I'm still sniffing around for another job that would provide my own insurance, since it'd be cheaper.

Call it a New Year's annual birthday resolution to get both those things rectified within 2008 so I can sign up before 2009. Because that sucker's bookmarked in my favorites, and I'll be looking at it regularly to keep me motivated.

I think the Christmas tree is coming down tomorrow. Seeing as it was put up while I was at work, I think I'll "supervise" the dismantling.
