Biopsy time
Ok well I am being shuttled off to Baylor All Saints in Fort Worth on Friday. The transplant people what to do a liver biopsy because they are not happy with the way my blood work has been coming back for awhile. They said it could just be something small like a infection or it could be the big R rejection. I will get to the hospital at about 7 in the morning. I will get a whole bunch of blood tests done then I will have to go to the transplant ward and wait till my biopsy. The killer thing is I can not eat until after the biopsy so I will be cranky. The goobers better have chocolate for me the moment my butt gets back to my hospital room. They should get the result back by 2. If it is nothing too serious I get sent home. If it is the big R I get to stay over night and maybe get me some major drugs. If it is a BAD rejection can we say PIC line. It is where they put a line from a vain in your neck that goes down close to you heart. They can not do a simple IV with some of the drugs because it will be so powerful that it could mess up my vains. After the biopsy I have to lay on my side for about a hour then wait around until we get the results. Unfortunately no cameras are allowed in radiology so I can not takes pics of the biopsy to post here. GRRRRRRRR!! Hopefully they will not hit a nerve this time. Of course when they did it last time I got me some morophine. Well back to work. Wish me luck.
