(no subject)
well we are pretty settled in in cali. we have an apartment and some furniture. paul just bought a big new tv, but its just not that much fun to watch it sitting on the floor. we are having major couch indecisiveness. we've looked at like a million couches and we just can't seem to pick one out. it doesnt help that my furniture shopping time is seriously limited by my 6 pm-10 pm bar classes plus hours of daytime bar studying. so if anyone knows how to get in touch with the couch fairy, let her know we need a couch. we threw our old couch out after katrina so its too late for me to try leaving it under my pillow.
yesterday was paul and i's second wedding anniversary! we went on a lovely date saturday night in san francisco. we went to a restaurant called Asia Sf. Asia Sf is well known for its cal-asian cuisine, but it is world famous for its "gender illusionist" who serve as the waitstaff and perform hourly on the bar. the show was amazing. my latest workout craze to look like the pussycat dolls was further motivated by the desire to look as hot as the "ladies" of asia sf. they were all amazing performers, and some of them looked like supermodels to boot. in fact one of the ladies was ms transgender universe or something like that. anyhow... if you come to visit san fran, and you love a good drag show, i highly recommend asia sf.
studying for the bar sucks. my assignment for today was to simulate a "performance test." this is by definition a three hour assignment- recommended 80-90 minutes reading and organizing, the rest writing an answer. (i know- already its like "please shoot me") so i spent three hours working on the stupid thing only to come to the conclusion that i went about it completely the wrong way. annoying. of course, better for me to figure out how not to do a performance test now rather than during the three hours i have to take the one on the actual bar exam. tonight's lecture we will be getting some more tips on this part of the exam, then i guess i gotta try it again!
in other news, i'll be in NO this friday and saturday for my friends' wedding. it will be a nice break from studying. if you want to make an appointment, give me a call.
