Teaching children and the burden of a metal spine.

Well, I have my first Sunday School class tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. I've been attempting to memorize the lesson for them but I'm afraid I'm failing miserably. We have to learn the lessons/stories by heart because we sit on the floor and use props to tell it. Constantly glancing over your shoulder to read the story would be awful.
I have a co-teacher, Julia, and we're in Classroom #2, which is the 6-8 year olds. I'm excited but I'm freaking out as well. I hope I can remember everything. Not having ever attended Sunday School, this is an entirely new experience. I'm giving the lesson on the Circle of the Church Year, which requires me to use a circular board with colored blocks and string and all sorts of weird stuff that I had never seen until one week ago. Wish me luck.

Other than that, I quit my job. After just 3 weeks there. Yep, I'm a bit of a loser on the job front. Although I have a good reason. The job required far too much physical labor and I just can't lift heavy boxes of clothing and constantly be bend over folding clothes, etc. with my metal spine. Its just no good. So, sayonara Barnes & Noble at Boston University! I hardly knew ye. hehe

Hhhmmm...what else. Oh, I am starting to have grad school withdrawal symptoms. Its been about 2 years since I left Aberdeen in shame. I caught myself looking into History MA programs. Uh oh.
