I'm working on a Civil War novel, and its going rather well. Drat, now I've probably jinxed the whole thing. The story is supposed to be about a girl named Violet, but her incredibly stupid sister, Eleanor, has taken over. I'm going to marry Eleanor to this old man named Col. Dobbin, which will be very fun. Col. Dobbin loves photography --"Photography, in all its aspects, is the passion of my life!" he just told Eleanor-- and so they going to be a very random couple, when they marry. unfortunatly, Chapter Three is entirly devoted to the two; Violet has, like, one comment. I should probably find someone for her so fall in love with, too, but I know that I won't love him half so much as crazy old Dobbin. I haven't figured out how to get actual page numbers on Word Works, but I just counted and I have twelve pages written, so far! And the Dobbin/Eleanor romance only takes up three! This has got to be a record for me-- I'm all first chapters with no follow-up. Squee!
