For the record, I'll post more, when it's not midnight.
Keira Knightley is fucking amazing. I just wanted to throw that out there, because I don't think that she gets enough respect for her talent, as opposed to her looks. I got to go to a showing of AWE, at eight, tonight, and Keira blew me right away.
There's this scene where Elizabeth is with her father, and she's coming back from the afterlife, and she meets him, and she starts laughing and calling out that they must be back in the real world. And Gov. Swann is just sitting there, and everyone around Elizabeth knows that her father is dead, and it finally hits her. And then she tries, desperately, to get her father to come to her, so that she can save him, and he won't, and... it's just... wow.
You know how Kate Winslet fans are always bitching about how they wish Kate would go ahead and win an Oscar, because she's only been nominated five times, already? I totally know how they feel. Because, even if Keira has only been nominated once (give her a break; she's almost ten years younger than Kate), you really want her to have the recognition that she deserves.
Even though I still don't care about the Oscars, except for the pretty dresses, and all. You know.
PS: Prettiest Oscar dress ever: Winlset, 1997, "Titanic" nom, emerald green and elven. With red ringlets. Loverly.
