May & December and Vladimir Nabokov

There shall be no school, today. Muahahahaha!

I emailed my essay in, yesterday. Cairns' site said to convert it into PDF form, but I couldn't figure out how. And, of course, I only realized my dilema yesterday, when there was no school (and, anyway, I think that both Cairns are in China, so...). I just attatchedc the essay as a Word Works document, and sent it. Now, I am assailed by fears. Should I have emailed for directions on converting files? Should I have copy-and-pasted the contents of the essay into the email, as the site suggested? Should I have gone through my Hotmail account, instead of using the school's site, which is known to be faulty?

Agh! My grades are already really bad, this year, so I guess that one missed major essay wouldn't make so much of a difference. I must say, one good thing about having your parents divorce when you are a child is that, when your grades swoop down off the charts, it doesn't matter. Your elementary and middle school teachers will alternately shame and beat the shit out of you, but it doesn't actually matter. When it happens the year before you start apply to colleges... well, it's no matter. I mean, I need good grades, to get into a good college, but... actually, college does matter, to me. Scratch that. I am looking forward to going abroad, and studying.

I'm carrying out another scientific study. I want to get some numbers for young girls, in our society, and the Older Men whom they like. Also, why they like them would be an interesting thing for me to figure out. I'd bet that Caro's got it, when she pointed out that boys our age are losers. Still, I'm charting age-gaps.

Statistics, my friends, and their lovers:
1 Lucy (age 15) in love with Alan Rickman (age 60): 45 year difference in age
2 Caro (age 15) in love with Colin Firth (age 46): 31 year difference in age
3 Jas (age 15) in love with Johnney Depp (age 43): 28 year difference in age
4 Beth (age 16) in love with Richard Armitage (age 35): 19 year difference in age
5 Shea (age 15) in love with Adam Gardner (age 33): 19 year difference in age

Now, as you may have noticed, these loves range from "Darcy would die for Elizabeth" to "Col. Fitzwilliam thinks that Lizzy is sort of cute". But, they age gaps? They speak for themselves. And, boy, do they speak. I mean... all of these men are old enough to have children our age. In fact, some do. *COUGHCOLINFIRTHCOUGH*

But... isn't this creepy? And this is just five of us!
