Madeleine, weekend concert
While buying my brother's birthday gift this weekend, I couldn't resist buying myself a mini madeleine pan. So, I made madeleines.
They were very tasty.

So this weekend I went to the LCD Soundsystem/Arcade Fire show at Randalls Island. I am not a fan of that venue AT ALL--haven't been there since high school-- but the show was pretty rocking. Not so impressed with the first band (Wildlight, IIRC)--not that they were bad, but they weren't very memorable. Les Savy Fav was hilarious and musically great, on the other hand although they couldn't hold a candle to Arcade Fire. That was a whole lot of people on that stage--and a whole lot of unusual instruments. Anyway, I also wasn't expecting it to go so long, so we all ended up a little sunburned and headachey, but it was a great time nonetheless. I'm really curious about how many people attended--I was unable to see how far back the crowd went because it was so jammed up where we were, about 20 feet from the stage.
