Day 4 after spending 2 hours next to a person who tested positive for covid the next day...I'm still feeling fine, which is a relief. My dad, my sister, her family, and brother's girlfriend are all fine too. My brother and all three of his roommates have been sick this week, but thankfully mild symptoms.
I guess in some ways the last two years have been waiting for when I might get sick, but this week has been especially stressful, knowing I was in such close contact with someone positive.
I read all the CDC instructions more closer than I ever had before, and I find myself wanting to ask more specifics. Like it says to test 5 days after exposure, even if no symptoms have occurred, and I understand that it takes time for 'the viral load' to develop, but I want to be able to ask someone, "So I could test negative days 1-4 then suddenly test positive on day 5, and that positive would be correct, is that what that means?"
Anyway, I did my taxes on Tuesday because I wanted something distracting, and I'm getting refunds from both fed and state, and that task is done without my dreading it for 2-3 months, so that was a win-win. Otherwise just did a lot of reading and being quiet this week.
I'll take a test tomorrow, but it's looking like we've dodged this bullet, I'm so grateful for being tripled vaxxed.
