(no subject)
So I was watching this show where the lead character is on a bit of a quest, being helped by a former boyfriend, who is obviously still interested, and also a friend of the lead's brother, ditto the interest. The lead is going off on a road trip and first the friend volunteers to go, so then the former boyfriend has to volunteer, and all three commit to a road trip.
At first I laughed, 'cuz I'm thinking this is where the two guys stop butting heads over the lead and all three get together.
Then the lead goes off separately overnight, leaving the two behind. The abandoned guys end up sleeping in the back of the SUV together, in sleeping bags, talking about the lead and it was even more perfect, 'cuz I'm going, yes, this is totally where they get together, and then when the lead gets back, it's just, hey guess what? We're together and we're going to stop trying to make you chose and all be together, isn't that good? And the lead is somewhat taken aback but not stupid and appreciates that they've resolved the situation to everyone's happiness.
They didn't, of course, in the show, the lead gets back and lets them know what was found and they all get in the car and drive back. I imagine the butting heads will resume.
