Huge trucks and cranes were on my street around 6:00 and my power went out at 8:45 yesterday. I finally walked out around 10:00 to see what was up. Three cranes were on my street, and they were swinging power poles from the street on the other side of mine over to mine. In fact, one was going over my house as I watched. It was a little disconcerting to think if something went wrong, suddenly a power pole would crash into my house.
My plan for cleaning and purging was not the best. Sun wasn't coming into the rooms I wanted to work in, so it was dim and hard to see. But I got some done and the power returned around 12:30, much earlier than they had estimated. I really think they must do that intentionally so that people are happy. Or at least less annoyed.
