The June Something, Day 15: What fandom pairing took you over like Venom took over Eddie?
I have loved a number of shows/pairings, but the ones that were...omg, I love you, I must write you, I must read you, I must think about you obsessively for months:
Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
Rodney McKay/John Sheppard, Stargate: Atlantis
John McClane/Matt Farrell, Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard
Steve McGarrett/Danny "Danno" Williams, Hawaii 5-0
My current obsession is Sam Wilson/James "Bucky" Buchanan Wilson of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I just diverted to write a different pairing instead of what would have been my third fic, so I feel a little less obsessed with it than my previous pairings.
Qui/Obi and John/Matt are both older/younger pairings, though Qui is the mentor while John protects Matt but relies on Matt's technological expertise. Rodney/John and Steve/Danny are both a military guy paired with a talkative, more hyper guy. All satisfy my competency kink.
