Yeah, probably should have updated long before now. But my brain has been completely overloaded with financial gibberish. One week of training down and I am mostly confused about . . . everything. Here's hoping that when we start to actually practice putting stuff into the system, it will all come together and make a little more sense. There is just so much to do and to memorize. Different rules apply to different investment types, different states, different everything! I wonder how long it's going to take me to get it all straight in my head.

Other than that, not much going on. Taya is slowly getting adjusted to the new schedule. She has to get up a good two hours earlier than she used to so . . . no more going to bed at 10pm and still being awake at midnight! We've managed to bump her bedtime up to 9 and she's usually tired enough by that point to fall asleep by 10. My goal is to get her in her room and in bed with her movie at 8pm. She definitely needs more sleep than she's been getting.

I'm getting used to a day schedule a lot more quickly than I thought I would! I'm still dead tired by 10pm, but getting up in the morning hasn't been so hard. Of course, during training I'm only getting up around 6:30am. When we switch to our regular work hours it'll be more like 5am. UGH.

I figure I'll be updating here a little more often since LJ is not blocked on the work computers like Facebook and MySpace are. (I'm assuming Twitter is blocked as well, but I haven't tried it since I don't have a Twitter account . . . yet. I'm tempted. Not that I'll be updating there, I'm just interested in following amusing famous people. But most definitely NOT Ashton Kutcher!!!)

I need to do a bit more clothes shopping. At least for tops. I have next to nothing as far as "business casual" goes. I bought a few pairs of slacks and a couple tops but, you know . . . you can never have enough! Also need more shoes. Like flats or dressy sandals. But trying some shoes on at the mall yesterday I discovered I'm a size 8 1/4. Yeah, they don't make that. But 8s are too small and I feel like I'm going to walk out of 8 1/2s. *sigh*

Apparently work on nights at the REC has dwindled down to next to nothing. Most nights they are sitting idle most of the night. Playing cards in the break room or surfing the net whenever someone brings in a laptop. (They discovered an unsecured WIFI from the business downstairs that you can just barely connect to if you sit in the far corner of the breakroom!) So, obviously I left just at things were getting fun there. Damn.

Someone posted some pictures on Facebook that shows all the work stations moved out of the no longer used areas. Plenty of room for some good games of frisbee! But it just looks so weird to see all that empty space. Herds of chairs stacked in the corner. Rows of (less than 6 months old!) monitors sitting on the floor. Yeah, the electronics guys were just so thrilled to see all the work they put into installing all those monitors undone just a few months later.

Well, break time is about up so I'd best get my brain back into WTF!?! mode. My usual state of existence as of late.
