Love, and life....and Dogs
Love is what it is, or so they say. I am an animla lover and by all acounts probably should have gone into a Veternarian. related field. but due to my brain and finaces, i never went into wring or English related feilds either. And those are my two main strengths. At least now i am volunteering at an animal shelter. Its a No Kill shelter by the way. But with that in turn comes one doag with kidney function issues. Quite a few temperment cases. And most are mix breeds with Bulldog, sled dog,German Shepard and Hound groups being the most predominant. Most were strays but some were basically dropped off on us. At any given time 1/3 to 1/2 are mixed with a pit bull type dog. In turn this makes adoptions abit more difficult at times. However i am not put off by breed or size but by behavior...period. And on average they have a much worse reputaion. ALmost always if they are agressive it is towards other dogs ONLY and not people. Actually German sheperd mixes i have the most issues with. I am glad to be doing this. But we have a house, w/ two guinea pigs. Its almost completely impossible for me to get pregnant. And so i think in turn i feel more of an urge to give back to the world somehow. Plus i needmore companionship. I want a dog already. Wed have to put up some sort of run since we have no fence. I want a 30-50-pound dog, probably6 a pit mix, and since we are on 2 acres, Dog agression issues mostly dont matter. but for now my husband says no. Which ill have to settle for for now. And just enjoy my time with them i suppose in the meantime. At least right now i feel like im finally giving back and doing something for those that dont have a true voice. They also have cats but im allergic so i simply cant work with them.....and yes that was a complete side note:)
