I've decided to get a bit sentimental about the first day of school, even though it's the second fall i've been out of college. Working in the heart of campus, it's definitely a rush when class is back in session. I know I'm silly, but it's fun to watch people reunite, to talk about classes, to ask for directions. I guess it's because I just loved college so damn much. I don't miss alot of the hassles or deadlines, but the first day of meeting new professors and seeing who all is in your class was always exciting.
So, to be incredibly dorky, and because I know most of the classes and am familiar with so many professors by this time after working with the Course Reserves Department, here is this semester's dream schedule pour moi:
HIST4250-History of Cinema, Beginnings to 1945 (Ascheid)
ARHI4920-Postmodern Visual Culture (Wallace)
ENGL4690-Anglo-American Modernism (Rasula)
HIST4392-History of 20th Century France (Pollard)
Le sigh. I've had half of these profs, and know the other two. They're all brilliant.
It's funny because i don't really want to go to liberal arts gradschool, but just would rather take upperlevel undergrad courses again.
