Oh no! Now I have to update my webpages!
Help.
I'm great with databases, but not so great with HTML. I know enough code to get myself into real trouble but not enough to really lay out a nice site without a software package that does most of the work for me. When I designed my websites, I used Frontpage because it came with my Office program. It worked well, was almost idiot proof (a good thing for me) and best of all, was free.
I guess Microsoft didn't think they'd pissed off the customer base enough with the introduction of Vista (ick!), so they had to discontinue Frontpage on top of it. What they replaced it with (as I understand) is a very expensive program called 'Silverlight' or a Microsoft only free web developer that my mac oriented web hoster says won't fly on most other platforms. What am I going to do? I don't know enough about webpages to write my own code and I don't do enough of them to warrant paying lots of money for a new copy of Dreamweaver or something like that. I'd really love some advice from someone 'in the know'.
