So one of my goals now that I no longer work for a living is to become more physically fit, hopefully losing a good bit of poundage in the process.  In the interest of trying to find exercise I might actually do on a regular basis, I discovered something called a Fitdesk.  It's essentially a small stationary bike, but set up with a desk on it so

How are you doing in St. Louis? How crazy are things there? We've been so busy going hither and thither that I missed the first news reports and had to catch up. OMG.

The low-income part of the suburb of Ferguson is a complete disaster. Fortunately, we live about a half-hour's drive south of there, though we know some people who live closer. The rioting is confined to just a few blocks in a very low-income neighborhood. Years ago, I used to work in the Ferguson-Florissant school district, at a school in the heart of Ferguson--but a good little chunk of the town is century houses mostly owned by solidly middle-class people, including the area around the school I worked at.

The independent autopsy by the federal medical examiner shows all the bullets entered the kid from the front, which may change the narrative somewhat. However, no matter whose version of events you believe, one thing is for certain: the officials handling this have done about the worst job imaginable short of killing more people.
