I got a flu shot yesterday. Ugh! I think it worked just fine. My left upper arm is very sore and slightly swollen, and I feel tired and generally not good. However, when I looked it up, those are all well within the normal range of side-effects, so I really don't feel like bothering Kaiser with it. Not unless things get a heap worse.
Yesterday was an doctor's-appointment-and-errand day. We saw the oncologist in the morning. He said I looked "great," and seemed very surprised. He also said that there was no way to know if my unwanted "guests" have decided to camp out at some far outpost of my body. Not unless, he said, a problem pops up elsewhere. My task for today is to research detection of recurrence.
The afternoon appointment was Dr. Lim. That went well. The incisions and everything else look good, and I'm to see him again in three or four months.
As for today? Neil's at work, and I think I'm going to crawl back into my "cave" and hibernate. Oh yes, and try not to roll over onto my left arm. The cats, bless their furry little hearts, kept walking on it last night. owwwwww....
