I try to - in particular, I like matching necklaces or pendants to go with my earrings. I basically don't ever wear rings, but when I do, it's generally for a dress-up occasion and to match the set.

It's hard to find things I like in sets, though, so I don't do it as much as I wish I did.

It's one thing for your earrings to go with your pendant, it's another to have them as part of the same set. I tried to emphasize that I'm polling about the latter, but I'm not sure if your response covers both.

I buy things in sets wherever possible. When I get things that aren't a part of a set, I spend a fair bit of effort finding something sufficiently similar after the fact.

Do you also like to wear same color gloves, hat and scarf, or shoes and purse?

I would, if I carried purses or wore hats.

The few of each that I own are black, which does indeed matches most shoes and gloves I own, which are also black. My scarves are more diverse, and tend to match my coats, rather than the other accessories.

Ah, I used to do that and went in a radically different direction. I frequently wear a gaggle of solids, sometimes several shades of the same color, or with 1-2 patterns thrown in. I might occasionally look like a clown, yes, but I neither exist in a conservative environment, nor feel particularly conservative.

Ah. My black is not the conservative kind, it's more the typical nerdish "if it's all black it all matches" approach. I do wear colors (although to be fair generally dark or muted ones), but it's just easier to accessorize with neutrals.

I also like black, but I don't wear warm colors, so for neutrals it's either that or gray. But I'm kind of in a phase where I prefer brights!
