I am annoyed at the release date. I was really looking forward to seeing them all big and pretty in front of iron man. :( it make this bb sad when Fox pulled it.

It's not even so much that they pulled it out of Iron Man (although seriously, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT PLACE FOR IT), so much as that it's premiering on the internet instead of in front of another film? I want the red carpet treatment for this movie, but it's getting the back door treatment :(

YOUR ICON. IS MAKING ME LOL.

I'm so excited to see the trailer I don't mind...though I do wish they'd put it on the big screen.

Don't get me wrong, I still really want to see the trailer, but like elapses said, this movie is getting the back door treatment instead of the red carpet treatment we all want to see it get. Most of the promotion being done for the movie is by us. We're the ones 'spreading the word' , putting banners on websites, flailing on journals, buying the magazines. It just annoys me that CC and crew have spend basically NOTHING out of their promo budget.

I agree completely. I wanted to see posters, press kits, the whole nine yards.

I think CC and co should hire US to promote this movie. because whatever team he has hired (or in all likelyness, NOT hired) we can do so much better. I would be putting up posters EVERYWHERE. sending copies of the trailer to every tv station and telling them to play it. I'd be putting massive posters on the sides of buses all around the city. Making sure that every cinema in this country had multiple copies of the poster and put them up.
Basically shoving this movie in everyones face

Waaaaaaait, I don't get the Hamlet reference in your icon?

But yeah, that's exactly it. I feel like the only people they're currently appealing to is fandom -- with Paley, Wondercon, NY Comic Con, etc -- which is great, but even the hardcorest of hardcore fans can't keep a movie afloat at the box office. There's a fanbase who doesn't care enough to look up spoilers on the internet, and what, exactly, has been done to reach out to them?

The fact that Iron Man was apparently so great (I haven't seen it yet) is kind of like salt in the wound? I mean, damn, that was our spot.

:D don't worry about Hamlet.

I mean sure, i'm going to see the movie as many times as my bank permits me to, and the only way that my friends outside fandom know about this movie is because of ME. I keep telling them about spoiler pictures, and OMFG MSR TO THE MAX. But they wouldn't have known otherwise because Fox is doing JACK SHIT to promote this movie to the general public.

Iron Man was fantastic, I saw it last weekend. the trailer would have been PERFECT in front of it. But instead we got, Narnia and SpeedRacer. and some other movie I can't remember. Probably one the one that took XF2s spot.

BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!

To be fair, there ARE posters hanging in almost every movie theater (at least here?), so at least, theoretically, someone might be able to find out that the movie exists, but it's nooooot enough.

IT'S MULDER. DOES IT HAVE TO MAKE SENSE?

I have not seen ONE poster hanging in a cinema here. Which makes me sad D:
Fox and co need to pull out ALL FUCKING STOPS to promote this movie.
