did other things happen in this episode? ...maybe.

Last night on Chuck,

Oh, I see. So you're going to shoot me to prevent me from being blown up, that's a great plan..

Why are you so stubborn?
Actually, I'd consider this a rare moment of courage, I don't know where it's coming from, I guess you just bring out the worst in me.
And you in me!

It was nice knowing you.

We talk about facial expressions on this show a lot. This sequence: prime example of why! Zachary Levi does his "well, shit, I guess I'm going to die" face, followed by Yvonne's "am I going to do this? I'm going to do this!" and, of course, Zachary's "wait, what? Is she? What?".

Undeniable fact: this is a really pretty kiss! It is grabby and desperate and clutching and strong and really, what a way to go.

Hey, weren't we supposed to die like, twenty seconds ago?

Well the good news is we're alive. And the bad news is that this is kind of. An uncomfortable moment, right now.
This is completely comfortable on my end. Just sayin'.

I was sort of weirdly twitchily bothered by how this scene (this scene!) was followed up by Chuck visiting Lou and having a sad, poignant what-we-could-have-had moment in the bakery. It was the wrong note! It jarred!

Speaking of Lou, though! I was misspoiled. I read somewhere that she was some sort of bad agent and it weirdly bothered me that I knew how her plotline was resolved. But anyway, lesson learned: I am not going to believe every throwaway "spoiler" I read in throwaway comments. I am above this! Maybe.

Isn't it just fitting that is this season of all tv seasons that is going to be incomplete on all notes? (NBC's "why yes! we do intend to replace comedy night done right with the apprentice!" is kind of hurting my hope. Especially considering basically my entire tv schedule is NBC-based. Ugh.)

picspam, chuck
