Today I found a guy who has published 2 poetry anthologies, but apparently has spent most of this year on X-Files poems. He has a lot! This is my favorite:
I was going to say 'I TOTALLY HAVE HEELS HIGHER THAN THOSE THO' but I don't, they're actually the same height as my Lady Gaga heels. But idk with heels it's not really the height that makes you spindly (I mean it's part of it but) as much as it's the width/size of the heel? And these are pretty sturdy.
"I write in my journal Mulder loves Scully so much but you can't kill the sexual tension in the fourth season." I REALLY LOVE THAT LINE TOO; I like these because I feel like they do a good job of capturing that weird consumed feeling you get when you watch/read too much fiction in a short period of time, like you can't separate it from your actual life because it's become part of you, in a weird way? And even if you don't have the same thoughts or opinions about that fiction, or if you're talking about totally different shows/movies/whatever, you can still understand the way it feels to be completely immersed in it.

I think that's why I love this one the most (although I really love all of them!), because he mixes himself with Mulder and (I think) the writers, I... don't know. I love that mixed-up feeling. I love the way he captures it.
RIIIIIIIIIGHT??? Like, looking up a poet because you liked one of his love poems and stumbling into a blog full entirely full of poems about the cancerarc, who knew that was a thing that could happen?? I can't imagine understanding these if you hadn't even been immersed in the show, though, he jumps around so much. But I mean, they're supposed to elicit that jumbled feeling, I don't think you're supposed to be able to parse them if you don't have a bunch of X-Files clips resting in the back of your head already.
