Belly button!

Vacation was awesome, thanks to Jason.  Much relaxing and pool time.  My first real vacation in 2 years!  It was wonderful, and more so because of the person I spent it with.  Did do a day at Magic Kingdom/MGM which was fun.  SeaWorld was a friggin' blast.  I got to pet baby stingrays!  It was awesome!  And I didn't steal a penguin.  I wanted to.  Also did Busch Gardens where they give free beer.  Awesome suspended coaster called Munto... front row was just the best ride of the trip.  So very cool.  Also, got to hand feed some very ornery lorikeets (small parrots from Australia) who pooped all over me.  Despite the poo, it was amazing to be so close.

I must have looked tasty that trip.  The stingrays kept sucking my fingers (which feels neat), a nene goose nibbled me, and the keets kept biting my fingers.  I hope I'm not turning into bologna.

And of course, Medieval Times.  Whee!  My boyfriend looks better in armor though, so nyeah.

Anyway, a little worn out from the trip and trying to figure out things I need to do.

Officially beginning to look for a new job.  I am sick of this shit and I deserve better.  I'm sick of always having it to complain about.

I forgot my lunch today.  I've got three hours to go on just a bowl of raisin bran.  It sucks and I feel dumb.

Ok, on to books. Reading slacked off a bit due to vacation.
7. "From Hell" by Alan Moore.  As previously mentioned, really great.
8. "The Reedcutter" & "Captain Shigemoto's Mother" by Junichiro Tanizaki.  Read it expecting naughtiness.  Should have learned from "Makioka Sisters".  Mildly entertaining.  Definitely interesting.  Kinda boring.  The second story was about dalliances in 900, and frankly I'd rather read Genji.  Which I need to do seeing as Otsu-sensei lent me the complete 10lbs of it.
9. "The Complete Age of Apocalypse vol. 1" by them there guys that write and draw the X-Men stuff.  A very dramatic departure from reading so far this year.  It was in the car during the 16 hour trip back and I couldn't get to my books.  Actually very fun and I want to read the rest of the volumes.

Next up is either t3h Genji or O'Brien's "The Things they Carried".  Order depends on who wins: my guilt over Otsu's generosity and the need to finish it before the semester, or my desire not to read Genji right now.  And I'm counting Genji as 2 books because it is huge.

Gah!  I need to write my speech.  And finish my webcomics.  And catch up on schoolwork.  And do laundry.  And get back to the gym!  Wargh.
