The Giant Gila Monsters invite you to experience our first album, Secret Seed!
Secret Seed is a musical fable in the tradition of other rock musicals like Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s “Once More with Feeling,” and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Secret Seed tells the story of a young woman discovering her true faerie nature, giving birth, and battling her offspring for her life.
The album’s musical influences run from Celtic folk, to Natalie Merchant, to New Order, and Tool. There is a mixture of dreampop guitars, ABBA vocals, and frenetic drumming, all combined with a carefully arranged orchestra. The album also features five different vocalists.
