So yes, we went to see King Kong for Cat's birthday.
Somehow I had high expectations- it is Peter Jackson after all, but somehow I have lost faith in most large motion pictures like this, so I had only a vague idea of what to expect.
3 hours. That is overindulgence on Mr Jackson's part. Could have been cut to 2 hours. Way too long.
12A rating- Means that you can go if you're over 12, if you're under 12 you need an adult. That was bullshit, it was nasty in parts- twinni_one, twinni_two and me were getting quite scared in parts. Giant cockroaches climbing on people, huge fleshy worms sucking people's heads off and King Kong breaking a T-rex's jaw.
Jamie Bell was the best actor in my opinion. And I cannot feel guilty for perving over him because he is soooooo cute. However, we never found out his backstory.
Suffice to say it was well cast, and had it had been an nhour shorter it would have been good.
It was TOO DAMN LONG. And they could have cut a lot of waffle
