I should do that with my friends who have unused old LJ's. I hate it that they still show up on my FLIST even though they don't use them anymore. :/

Yeah, it is a good idea. A lot of people on there just don't update, or are un-used LJ's.

I, too, take people off now and then, mainly when their LJs haven't been updated in a looong time. I don't generally de-friend people if they don't comment (except if I'm not intereste din reading their journal anymore) because I am a shy commenter myself -- there are some people on my f-list whose journals I've never commented on! (Mostly because I didn't comment at first, and now they've been on my f-list for a long time so I feel out-of-place popping in to comment out of the blue.)

I though I was the only one feeling like that. I didn't comment at first and now when I see an entry I find interesting and would like to comment on, I just... don't. I find it even worse than commenting on a complete stranger's LJ (I mean someone who isn't on my flist).

Sometimes I get over it and do comment, but feel weird afterwards. Then again, if I think about it, I, personally, wouldn't find it strange or intrusive if someone on my flist who has never commented on my entries actually spoke up someday. *shrugs* I guess I'm just shy.
