End of the Day
I saw Million Dollar Baby today. Without wanting to give away any spoilers, I am now so, so sad. :( Even though I *knew* something like what happened was going to happen when things were going so well. Really a *very* good movie, though I'm not sure I could stand to see it again. I thought Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Hilary Swank were all amazing in it. This is the first movie I've ever seen Hilary Swank in; there's no way in hell I could stand to see Boys Don't Cry. I know enough about that story to know that I would be traumatized for life.
In the work update, I'm now tasked with reporting back to the VP the conditions under which I -- or one of the other candidates -- could fill this division-wide role (i.e., drop some of my current responsibilities, what kind of support would be necessary from the organization ... that kind of thing.) I suppose the good news is, not a sure thing. But I needed another issue and all the associated action items like a blow to the head.
