funny things are happening
So its 7pm on a friday night and I am in the computer lab checking on things. This is nice.
I feel very good about myself.
So, I am basically salaried at work...I get 20 hours a week no matter what... there isn't a timeclock, and I don't take lunches so that I can have more time for Beka and homework (my main friends at the moment). Anywho, so I get off easy a lot. I LOVE it. It's that season of life where I need to have it easy a little bit of the time. But anyhow, so I stayed almost an hour late today... an extra hour that I won't get paid for, but that I TOTALLY didn't mind working. I felt this sense of "sweet accomplishment"... I enjoyed it. Yes, perhaps it is because I don't have too much homework this weekend. But still. I was happy. And I wanted to tell.
So, 29 days. We applied for our marriage license today. I'm picking up her wedding band in about a half hour. We spent good times together today. Pancakes and a nap or two. We also had marriage counselling today for about 45 minutes. And I pick her up from work in 4 hours. Whee!
I'm excited. Definately looking forward to having a wedding band on my finger. To be able to say she's my wife... without qualifying that statement as "future wife, Lord willing." And nothing like having your best friend share your bed. I'm looking forward to fanangling that too. We definately will be getting a bigger bed in Detroit.
Less that 60 days til I hit the AlCan again. I made my UHAUL reservations, I've got apartments in mind. I've got places that I'm going to be applying to as soon as we get the official work that she's passed her test. I'm hoping to get a job at the University where she'll be going to school at. They give 100% tuition discounts for spouses and dependants. If that doesn't work out, I'm also applying to Barnes&Nobles, OfficeMax and Credit Union One who give 25% discounts to spouses... so please pray!!!!
