It's been a few VERY hot days here in the Northwest but it appears that the fever has broken; this morning, at about 7:30, the rains, lightning and thunder hit with full force. The last several nights, the Pea has been waking up. It's mostly for two reasons: a) she wants milk or b) she wants to change her pull-up (she gets incensed if she wakes up and it's wet, even though that's what it's there for. at least for the next hour or so. I am pooped. I've been running a million miles an hour but now, I need a rest. So I'm signing off until the baby wakes up again.

Edit: that was nice. Not long enough but nice nonetheless. Now we're off to the grocery store.

Today I'm feeling funky, but fighting it with/by:

• All-American Rejects
• Errands (taking the "boy" jeans back, grocery shopping)
• A long-delayed trip to the temple (thank goodness for friends who swap babysitting!)
