My year's long goal to run the Hood to Coast Relay is about to be fulfilled, and I'm feeling totally stressed out and crazy for even thinking that I could do this. We have an engagement shoot today with one of Gus' childhood friends. The weather seems to be holding and we're hoping for some great pictures. I got A LOT done yesterday but by the end of the evening, I had serious cabin fever. I'd contemplated taking Chie to open swim at Wilson Pool but by the time I got organized enough to go, she was way to close to naptime to justify the $4 entrance fee. Then the evening stretched on. We went to the zoo today-- part fun family outing (and with friends, too: Rosie and Jaden and her friend Sheri), part celebration of sun and a long weekend, and part opportunity to use our new lens. Gus' aunt came into town this weekend; she lives up at Twin Lakes, near Coeur d'Alene, in the family cabin. We were thrilled to get a chance to hang out with her. On Wednesday, Gus suggested that I meet him after work at Kelly Point Park. Gus had referenced it a few times as being near his work and I just assumed that it was a grassy knoll on the river.
