Note to Self:
When you see the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations, pause and enjoy them. Don't feel guilty and sad because you didn't get more decorations (or, in my case, any exterior lights) out yourself. Your tree will get up too.
When you get Christmas cards and letters in the mail, be thankful and enjoy them. Don't fret about the fact that you haven't got yours prepared. Or that you didn't send one last year either.
Spend the time you have feeling joy and happiness, not guilt and stress.

Updated on holiday-ness: We bought feathery topped stockings for the girls at West Elm (we'd bought quilted red ones from PB but this was a fun excuse to buy frilly ones, now that I have two girls). the tree was procured from Jack's yesterday, at last, much to Sophie's relief. It will get up tonight? The snowflakes for the windows were cut and are awaiting ribbons to hang them. Cookies were made with her little friend Celia last night. They were super delicious. I finally found The Perfect Recipe. And the rest? We'll get there. Advent has been very ad hoc this year but Sophie gets why. And we've got until Epiphany anyway, right?
