One of my favorite Chinese dish is tofu with oyster sauce, the one that can be bought from Mann Han. Too bad, the branch located at SM Manila closed a few months back. Haaay...Me and my father really, really missed this tofu dish so I decided to make one for dinner tonight.Ü
Hmm..actually, this was my second attempt. The first one didn't came out right because the tofu was bland, and I didn't like the sweetness of onion I put before.
Learning from my first try, I marinated the tofu with oyster mixture before frying. The result was the tofu was more succulent, soft inside and crispy on the outside. I also omitted the onion in the recipe and added kinchay to add more flavor. Satisfied with the taste and too excited to plate the dish, I forgot to put some sesame oil. Hahah!
