(no subject)
So I thought I was having my interview on Wednesday, but it was actually Thursday.
On Wednesday I just had to sit through a presentation that explains the program and all that stuff, and then I had a small interview where they just looked over my application, and I scheduled a phone interview for Thursday.
So at 1:40 on Thursday the NICEST lady in the world called and we talked for about 30 minutes...the first thing she said to me was, "so I see you used to work at Bill Knapps?" haha I thought that was hilarious. I didn't even know they had them in Orlando. She just went over some reminders with me, and then asked a couple questions, like what I would do in certain situations...one of them was how would I deal with a guest at a hotel who requested a certain room that was unavailable at the time. Another one was, what was my favorite memory of being in Disney World, and then she just wanted to know why I want to do the program. There were a couple more questions but overall they weren't really hard. I think I did really well answering them and she seemed to really like me. She said I should get an email in 2-3 weeks and hopefully they'll offer me a position. I have to say I'm going to be pretty upset if I don't get it. Now I just have to wait...
I talked to Craig today at work and told him I was interested in this and he was really cool about it, and told me I need to go for it because it's such a good opportunity, it was nice to hear that. He also told me if I end up going I could have my job back when I come home which would be in May. So now I don't have to worry about not coming home to a job. And in all honesty, it's a good job for me. I get paid good money, I pretty much get to pick my hours and I'm a manager...which goes along with what I'm going to school for.
My parents are cool with the whole thing, which is also a relief because I didn't know how they would feel about it. But I just told them they could come and visit me and I'd get them an awesome discount...then they were happy. :)
Now that this is all coming together it's so exciting! I just really hope I get accepted! :)
