We're in Montecello. Getting here was interesting, fun, and at one point really weird. Eric identified Chimney Rock....from countless hours as a fledgling geek playing Oregon Trail. Weirdness ensued as we traveled through a road construction area in the middle of the desert. No lights, just a narrow road lined on each lane with countless orange barrels as far as the eye could see with highbeams on. Oh, and pouring rain. It felt like some film student's abstract and somewhat freaky quarter final.
We're now happily crashed out in a roadside motel. I should sleep, for tomorrow there is more driving.
