It came to pass that after performing our patriotic duty at the range Sunday, 
egosumquisum and I repaired ourselves to Opal Divine's (Penn Field Edition) to take our ease over a pint of Black and Tan. It was not to be. Bass was out. What? Disaster!

So then I thought--what about using Smithwick's instead?

The serving wench had not heard of this idea and said that since it was a new idea that we got to name it! So if you fancy trying a Smithwick/Guiness combo next time you're there ask them to pour you an

Don't expect that lovely seperation you get with Bass--doesn't work nearly as well--but it's right tasty!
