He pulled away, breathless, his hands now gripping my upper arms desperately.
“You are my life, Bella. My heart. My soul. I need you. Can’t you understand that?”
I swallow. I study the sparse grass around us, mixed in sand.
I rise onto the tips of my toes.
“Yeah. Guess I can.”
And I kiss him.
And I feel him. His need. His want. His desire.
