She bites her lip, a smirk forming, as she watches Edward sing, his eyes more on her than the road. His voice is more powerful than the recorded one, which is supposed to be overwhelmingly powerful, but isn’t in comparison. Both sing about singing-but for Edward, it’s a double meaning. Bella knows he doesn’t realize it, though.
He encourages her to sing the part of Christine, but she knows she can’t hit those notes. She sits back, instead, embarrassed but amused.
The song comes to an end.
“What’s so funny?” he asks.
“La tua cantante. It’s ironic, isn’t it?”
