Title: Fragile Eternity
Author: Melissa Marr
Year of Publication: 2009
Genre: YA, Fantasy
Pages: 389
First Line: "Seth knew the moment Aislinn slipped into the house; the slight rise in temperature would've told him even if he hadn't seen the glimmer of sunlight in the middle of the night."

Summary: Seth never expected he would want to settle down with anyone-but that was before Aislinn. She is everything he'd ever dreamed of, and he wants to be with her forever. Forever takes on new meaning, though, when your girlfriend is an immortal faery queen.

Aislinn never expected to rule the very creatures who'd always terrified her-but that was before Keenan. He stole her mortality to make her a monarch, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any she'd ever imagined.

In Melissa Marr's third mesmerizing tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and each other in a milieu of shadowy rules and shifting allegiances, where old friends become new enemies and one wrong move could plunge the Earth into chaos.

Review: Throughout half of this book, I wanted to rip my hair out and stop reading it. It was so darn political! I don't mind a little bit of politics--espceially in Faerie, but this was just too much. The book was lacking something the other two had, though I'm not quite sure what. It seems that ever since Wicked Lovely, the "series" has gone downhill. Ink Exchange, wasn't awful, but wasn't as good as WL, and FE just isn't as good as IE. Hopefully Marr can do better with the next one. I'm expecting some serious Keenan hotness to make up for it, Miss Marr! ;) I will say that the analogies and similes are well done still. There was lots of dragging on for awhile, too, where nothing happened (ie almost the whole book).

Worst part: So darn political.

Best part: Keenan. *drools*
