Report: Gackt in Munich
My own little report about Gackt's performance at the Theaterfabrik in Munich!
Me, my sister and my friend who came from Austria arrived already on Tuesday and were able to take a look around in Munich the next day and also paid a visit to NeoTokyo. I bought three Fool's Mate issues and one Arena 37°C. On the actual day of the concert we arrived at the venue at about 2 pm and there were already about 200 people there of whom some of them had already been camping there for two days (o_o). There were loads of fans from all over Europe and we had a nice chat with some from England. At about 3 o'clock Gackt arrived and everybody tried to take pictures and videos as he went into the hall. One German girl was able to pass him a gift and completely broke out in tears afterwards. This was filmed by a girl standing next to me: Gackt's arrival in Munich
After a few long hours of wating in the sun (so many people got sun-burnt) everybody started to crowd around the entrance. When we finally were able to go in (at about 17:35 so quite on time) I was under the first hundred who got in. First I went to the tour goods stalls and bought myself a bag, a big towel, a tourbook, a key-chan and one for my mobile phone. After the show I also bought a fan and a CD. I then made my way towards the stage and had a place about left of Gackt's platform and was in the 4th row. Already before the whole thing started about three girls passed out!
The concert started quite on time (about 15 minutes late maybe?) and I was just overwhelmed when Gackt and the others came out onto the stage!! I was really stunned how beautiful he looked in reality. Just like in the pictures of nearly all magazines!! YOU looked so damn cute through out the whole concert always with a smile on his face and encouraging us to keep going. The setlist was the same as with the other concerts and Gackt also sang Mind Forest in English and the shirt-ripping part was during Lu:na. You could really see how Gackt gave everything he had and after about the first five songs he started to tumble occasionaly and you could sometimes see YOU and Chacha glancing over to him to see if he was alright. After one song (sry, can't remember which one) Gackt took a little break but I guess it was because of some technical problems because some staff did something with his earphones. The more the show came to it's end the more Gackt looked like he wasn't noticing what was going around him anymore which ended in him tripping as he tried to step down from his platform and fell into the crowd. I was so scared at that time because (obviously) everybody was pushing toward the left corner but the staff put him up on stage really quickly and YOU and Chacha supported him by holding his arms until Gackt started to nod that he was "ok" again. Although it looked quite serious it also was one of the cutest moments through out the whole concert!
After Uncontrol when Gackt "talked" with us he even said some words in German. Those were "fantastisch" (fantastic) and "Ich liebe auch alle" (I love you all). If there was more than I didn't get it. ^^ He said these words really clearly and you were perfectly able to understand them. I was really touched and nearly started crying. Some people might say that his English pronunciation is quite bad but i really thought that it was quite good!! Much better than anything that I've every heard from Japanese people!!!
All the stuff that was thrown into the crowd somehow landed around were I was standing and everybody was just fighting and holding onto the part of whatever they had caught. I just heard how one of Junji's drum sticks got broken right behind my back... nice sound^^
To sum it up: the whole concert was really just great and Gackt, YOU, Chacha, Junji and Chirolyn were simply great!!!!!!! I really hope that Gackt can gather his strength again until Bochum!
The best thing after everything had ended was the fact that it was raining or rather pouring down (!) which felt really nice after these three hours of the hottest sauna I've ever experienced!! ^^
