In Anaheim

Yes, so, in my own little technological paradise yesterday I bought the shiny white 30GB iPod, which does videos and photos as well as music, hurrah! Plus it has Solitaire, could it be any better? Well, yes, it could serve food and stuff too. Next on the shopping list is a new battery for this here laptop - the current one only lasts about 20 minutes (when you do nothing) rather than the original 3.5 hours or more. Maybe I'll get some new running shoes as well, but we'll see how finances work out - I'm scraping the bottom of my account as it is...

So...when did I last write? Ah yes. So, since then I've been alternating between chilling out at home doing nothing and hanging out with Jaime and his friends. And playing Solitaire. Jaime's got some really cool friends (a couple of them are here now, so I need to be careful...). Naah, I really like them. The couple we're with now are getting married on the 4th November, and we're in the church office while Jaime designs their invitations (imagine leaving your invitations this late! Unbelievable!). They're good guys, and we're having a lot of fun. Plus, Jeff drives a Humvee! Just like Arnie, everyone's favourite governor. Sooo...we've been cruising around California in his big, black, tinted Hummer. Sweet. All I have to do now is eat a burrito and possibly go to Disneyland (mmm, not sure: I can get in for free but I might not have time) and then I'll be done. Just in time - I've reached the point where England's looking more attractive than the US (it always did, partly out of patriotism but mostly out of fiancée-missing syndrome, but until now the US had enough novelty to get away with it).

Last night we went to an Italian and then the beach for Jeff's birthday, it was good. And Jaime and I visited the third most expensive place in the USA, where the average house price is 2 million dollars...so, kinda like London now. It wasn't that special, really, unless you like having a really modern house right on the Californain beachfront where the sun shines like every day for ages.

Yesterday I caught my accent taking on American inflections and mannerisms - don't tell Jens! I'll try to get rid of them before I meet him at the airport...
