Seek me
For comfort
Call me
For solace
I'll be waiting
For the end of my broken heart
Seek me
Completion
Call me
I'll be waiting
For the end of my broken heart

You know me, you know me all too well
My only desire - to bridge our division

In sorrow I speak your name
And my voice mirrors my torment

- Killswitch Engage, "The End Of Heartache"

What would I give to behold
The smile, the face of love?
You never left me
The rising sun will always speak your name

It won't be long, we'll meet again
Your memory is never passing
It won't be long, we'll meet again
My love for you is everlasting

- Killswitch Engage, "Rose Of Sharyn"

Lemme 'splain something. Life is not all hearts and flowers. I know this well, although I'm not going to sit here and say I've had a hard life. Things have been pretty emotionally draining for me in the last week. But I have a strong will and a strong soul, and I have been through worse situations. Life can be a roller coaster, and that's what makes it fun. At any rate, it's time to go on with life, and get serious with finding a suitable internship or job that will propel me into the next step of life. And that is a career.

So back to the songs for a second. What do they mean? They mean that even though I was heartbroken for a short time (thus the lyrics from "The End Of Heartache"), I know my Rose of Sharyn is out there. For those not in the know, Rose of Sharyn is taken from the Song of Solomon, found in the Torah (as well as the Old Testament of the Bible). Song of Solomon is a beautiful work of poetry that describes love in the most amazing way. The love in Song of Solomon is between the Lover (King Solomon) and his Beloved, who is described as a "Rose of Sharon". I think the rest is pretty self-explanatory... the lyrics of the Killswitch song have the same longing that Solomon had for his Beloved, and that is one of the most beautiful things I can think of.
