Let's see... put in 63 hours this week including 8 Saturday. I could have gone in today and done more but I desperately needed a day to do nothing. In addition to the swell hours I am working, I am also on-call through Fri morning so I get the pleasure of 3am wake-ups like last night to answer messages on the system that are not even our realm of responsibility.
Even though I was on-call, I went to my co-worker/drinking-buddy's house with the old-lady for the monthly poker game. Since I can dial in to work from his place and there were 5 of the 8 staff developers at his house, it would have been the right place to be in case of a page. Got to try a new scotch that Robert broke out. Dalmore Cigar Malt. Real nice and a good price in my non-expert opinion at around $35. Since I was taking a night off from my non-eating habits of late, I enjoyed sampling all the snacks everyone brought. I also brought a few homebrews and a bottle of wine, 2004 Terrazas Malbec from Argentina. Another decent deal coming in at $12 and change at Costco right now. We brought no money home from the game, but a good time was had none the less.
