I think the police in Iowa City and Coralville are really really bored, as in this past month, there have been more pot busts reported in the news than I have ever heard of before in my life.
In the most recent one, they arrested and charged a 24 year old male who I actually know, as he was a theatre/film major I believe who auditioned last year. Yeah. It's getting a bit scary around here for those who choose to indulge in less, traditional lifestyle-like choice things.
In other fun news, I feel like it's the beginning of the end of civility with my mother. We got fairly close to a knock down drag out fight, and she's made her position clear as to what I need to do to get back in her good graces. With apologies to my mother, I must honestly say that I "love according to my bond; no more no less." I'm not backing down and compromising on my life anymore for her. I'm refusing to play the game. My sister can win and have it all for all that I care, for I am choosing to be happy. And that's really all I have to say here on the subject.
I have a lot of stuff to do this weekend. And absolutely no motivation whatsoever to do it. Blargh! But alas, off to do it I do indeed go!
