I don't even know what kind of reaction to have, other than that you have way too much time on your hands. I'm not sure if she's a poetry sort of woman, but...

Nonsense! Poetry is a time honored occupation of the gentleman, as is the subject of unrequited love for a fair lady.

I suppose I won't know until she tells me herself whether it's to her liking or not.

I can't say I know much about the specifics of using it to attempt to romance people.

I almost want to wish you luck.

Watch and learn, kiddo. It's called chivalry.

Oh? Do I have your blessing, then?

Chivalry, huh? And how long does that last?

Not quite.

Until the lady makes her final decision, of course.

Darn.

And then it flies out the window?

Well, to be a perfect example of chivalry I believe you're supposed to keep pining for and praising the lady in question forever, even if she explicitly turns you down and wants nothing to do with you.

But that seems somewhat extreme to me.

I didn't know that that was the definition. I thought it was just mainly being proper to a lady.

It's been a while. I think the strict definition had a lot of multi-syllable words in it that I didn't bother memorizing.

I don't know the actual dictionary definition, but I'm fairly sure that's the understood gist of it.

Well then. You don't think I'm capable of sustained proper behavior?

I'm not entirely sure.

When have I ever given you reason to doubt my gentlemanly conduct?
