New day, new attitude. It's a gorgeous, sunny day with reasonable temperature and humidity. Being able to have the windows open helps.

Also, it's our second anniversary! Here's to my wonderful husband, who seems to love me not despite but because of my own special blend of crazy.

And for those who haven't seen him yet, we have a new member in our family...

Some Nashvillians might remember the kitten advertised as needing a good home a few weeks back. We emailed back and forth with the people who had found and were fostering her, and we were actually going to go meet and potentially adopt her about a week and a half ago. But the night before, the people called and said they just couldn't bear to part with her and were going to keep her themselves.

Well, I don't know if I could bear to nurse a kitten back to health and then give it away, either, so I wasn't angry or anything. We were a little disappointed, though, so the day we'd been planning to see the kitten, we stopped by Petco to see if they had any adoptions happening. And they did! Many adorable, psychotic kittens, and a few grown-ups, and we just fell in love with this guy:

His name is Sebastian, he's 7, and he's possibly the sweetest, mellowest cat I've ever met. He didn't even mind the ride in the car to get to his new home. (And look at those blue eyes!)

So far, he's been very happy here. We're still in the process of introducing him to Henry, but so far, so good. Sebastian walks around like he's owned the place since he was a kitten, and Henry watches from a safe distance. All in all, we're very happy together.
