STATE OF THE RP
Okay, once again I've been stupid and overwhelmed myself in my games. Well, not Route 29 because I only have 34-chan over there and don't intend to drop her, but I have four in both Queen of Hearts and Mayfield and I have learned with absolute certainty that three is the max number of characters I can handle in a game to maximize my variety and ability to build CR without it feeling too intimidating.
And because there are a lot of characters I've been wanting to app for quite some time now, I guess I'll make this into a 'To App' post, too, since I've been meaning to do that to reference in the future when I have time/room for more characters.
MAYFIELD
I am not dropping Keiichi, so I'll do my other three.
Fate
PROS: Strong adult woman! My favorite character from Nanoha. I also have a Nanoha.
CONS: Very difficult voice. Still has little CR. I worry I'm not good at making her interesting.
Erika
PROS: Just got some really good regains. Just got a Bernkastel. Really freaking weird.
CONS: I really need to canon review but don't want to. Her voice is completely gone at the moment.
Karkat
PROS: Enormous cast. ALL the castmembers. They're also all really great. I've gotten over the judgmental Homestuck wank problem.
CONS: He is incredibly exhausting to play. He also feels incredibly repetitive to play.
I will admit that I am terrified of dropping any of these three due to castmates. Dropping Fate would be terrible to do to Nanoha, especially after I begged Caleb to app her. Dropping Erika would be terrible because we just got a Bernkastel and I've been wanting one forever. Dropping Karkat...well, we'd probably get a new one immediately but I have personal friends playing his most important CR so that'd make me sad.
Part of me actually wants to drop all three, because I've been feeling...really, really out-of-place in Mayfield for a while and I think sort of resetting myself might help, but that'd be really annoying to so many people...

Queen of Hearts: Cynthia (Pokemon), Kaguya Nanbu (Endless Frontier)
Route 29: Kanako Miyamae (Maria+Holic)
