STATE OF THE RP
Now that I've dropped Koharu (which I still feel terrible about for like Christ 10 reasons but it had to be done), I'm naturally going to be a spectacular dumbass and decide on someone much easier to play to take her place! Let's just say I've got more free time now than I had when I called my slowatus the other day. SO FOR NOW, the two characters I'm considering are:
Name: Lambdadelta
Series: Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Pros: Castmates! Fantastical omnipotent powers which would make for really interesting regains (I still want her to invite people to a teaparty on the ceiling for some reason). One of my favorite characters ever. Very easy to play in a horrific setting. Her voice is plain and simple. Impossible to mentally scar.
Cons: Her voice is easy, but understanding her characterization is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle with your feet while blindfolded. Plus, between Envy and Mariya, I already play two troll-ish characters. Regardless of how I play her, I'm likely to be criticized which will make me paranoid and depressed again. I'll be struggling to find a Bernkastel, undoubtedly. I'd also like Keiichi and Lambda to interact, but I hate muncesting.
Name: Tsumugi Kotobuki
Series: K-On!
Pros: Castmates; basically a full cast, in fact! Normal human--I need to play a couple more of these. She'd eventually fill a mother slot (or 'immediately' if I decide to do it the easy way). She's likely a homosexual female who happens to have no love interest or subtext with anyone in her series meaning I ship her with no one; this could make the ever-elusive cross-canon yuri ship possible!!! She's NICE and motherly, which are things my characters are lacking. She's still pretty strange in her own way, so she'd be much easier to play than Koharu despite the other similarities. She's the one character that never has her thoughts (besides her fantasizing over Ritsu and Mio) spoken to the reader/watcher, so I could play with her internal monologue/thought processes a lot! Because the entire band would be there, having more school parties in the RP would be a lot easier and more interesting to do.
Cons: Kind of boring regains! I know I'd be able to pull out comical ones for a long time, but that's about all they'd be: comical. Her voice is a bit difficult due to her being in the background a lot. I'm still a bit nervous that she may go the same way as Koharu.
I probably won't app either for at least a week, hopefully, but if anyone has any input, I'd be really happy!
