So I guess this is growing up

Well I'm about to take another stab at living away from home again. I'm not sure when it will be, but I feel it coming up soon. Really soon.

In other news, I got my truck out of the shop today. They wanted to charge me $700 for something that wasn't even wrong with it. I took it in to have a rear transmission seal replaced. A $25 item at Pep Boys. Well when I see the transmission fluid leaking from my truck when it's parked on a hill, I figure it's time to replace the seal....transmision fluid is red....let's all remember this...the GM dealership told me there was nothing wrong with the transmission, but i had a severe oil leak and my engine was about to burn up and be rendered useless. Well let's see here....my oil pressure is always top notch, and I keep it full....oil is a golden color...transmission fluid is red....the fluid coming out is red....like transmission fluid....oh yes, there's definitely an oil problem....I guess he thought I didn't know anything about cars. I only grew up with a father who has built race cars as a hobby since he was 15. I guess that wouldn't really give me any car knowledge over the years. On top of that, he tried to stop me from taking my truck home. He said "you can't take your truck, it needs to be fixed right away" Some people are really bad at the shady mechanic act. You're supposed to be smoothe. And don't try it on people who went in there originally telling YOU what is wrong with it. Especially on something involving a transmission. Most people freak if they see that fluid leaking and assume it's gonna fall off the car or something. It's a fucking rubber seal. Sometimes urethane if you spend the extra money. Big deal.

In other other news, Alex is leaving soon for Europe. I'm happy for her, but she needs to stay cause we rarely get to hang out or even talk at all these days. I've known her for like 4.5 years and we've only actually talked in person a handful of times. She should at least visit before she leaves.
