Falling In Love
Right, I tried writing a song using all the bits and pieces I've been putting together from various sources, and it blows. Like, badly. Why?
For the same reasons my films blow. Wanna Fat Albert joke? Because I'm like a weather vane without the letter bits NO DIRECTION.
I feel like I'm missing the middle layer, that I've learnt the very basics and I've learnt what I'm meant to be creating but all that middle section of why. I know, I've seen this before. See, I've always been good at maths. I would get marked down for not showing my working on tests, because the bit the teacher wanted to see all just happened, when I was looking at the page I could see the solution.
But - and it took me a while to realise this - this left a certain vacuum. I knew what the numbers were, and I knew what that made, but I didn't learn the middle bit, the why it did that.
So, back to the studying for me.
