In the name of all things Slash, and school
So I got my Military/Intelligence zine yesterday. Or for those who have no idea what that is, the John/Rodney slash zine. And let me tell you, it is amazing. So worth the prize, with the amazing stories and the amazing artwork. I'm on my first read through right now, and I can tell already that I'll read this over and over again, until it falls to pieces from to much use.
But since I don't use my own mailing address, a precaution of sorts, it was sent home to my cousin(who is also over 18 so I didn't break any laws). And my mother almost saw it, cause she was there yesterday. Since the front page of said zine is a very beautiful picture of John sitting in Rodney's lap, you wouldn't think that it would be a problem. Except for the fact that they are both butt naked. Talk about a potential embarassing conversation, had she seen it. But due to the cleverness of my cousin, the crisis was averged.
School is going great. It's weird being back, after working for some years, but it is kinda cool. Just think, pre-organized holidays:D That is probably the best thing about school, all the time off. And I don't have a horrible program either. I start 8am mondays and tuesdays, 10:45am wednesdays, 9:45am thursdays and fridays I alternate between staring 8am and 9:45am. I'm in school until 3:30pm every day except tuesdays though, but I have a free period of an hour and a half once every day, between 9:45 and 11:15. And that I like!
Still haven't gotten to know my class very well, but it'll work out, once we start getting more into the scheduale. We just started monday, but they seem like a nice bunch. So I'm guessing this will be a year to look forward to:) Nice!
Also, I am upset and shocked over the news that SG-1 has been cancelled. Good thing I have the DVD's, or the seasons on my computer, cause I simply cannot live without my Jack and my Daniel. And I will also sorely miss Walter and Siler. Those two, just rock.
ETA: Wow, this is the longest LJ entry I've done in some time. *pats self on shoulder* I'm proud of me.
